BROAD GAUGE

930
class
| Sundays
in the 80's was always interesting to get
out and see what was rostered for the
regular Sunday working to Mount Gambier,
which usually including a mix or a 'lash-up'
of locos for balancing. A visit to Wingfield
on Sunday in 1988 revealed eight units on
the South East including 939, 844 and 931.
The locos and consist were ready to roll and
this a one of those "must follow"
jobs. |

signal cabin crew at Goodwood on the 20th December 1985.

come up and watch and I did.
Standard gauge trackage now replaces the cabin, but the
memories of that day live on.
