A look around Adelaide Parklands Terminal

Visited on the Queen's Birthday Public Holiday Monday 14the June 2010 the Interstate Rail Terminal at Keswick which opened back on the 18th of May 1984 and was firstly called the Adelaide Passenger Rail Terminal, this is run by private operator Great South Rail today.

Motor Rail Check In at Adelaide Parklands Terminal

Motor Rail Ramps: The cement Ramp used for base level loading of vehicles and the second ramp (seen at left) is used for the second top level loading of vehicles onto Motor Rail wagons.
Note - There is a steel track in centre of the base ramp to slide movable ramp across in line with wagon and the wagon seen in the background.

The Ghan Celebrates 80 Years of travel
1929 - 2009

August 2009 marked the 80th anniversary for The Legendary Ghan. On the 4th August 1929, The Ghan departed Adelaide bound for Alice Springs.
