ADELAIDE
CAR DEPOT
FROM PORT ROAD BRIDGE |
5th June 2009
| Here are
pix taken from Port Road Bridge yesterday. Doesn't show a great deal in reality.
Behind me the contractors are working on the installation of a new tram bridge between the bridge (road) spans. |
|
Plus
the Railcar depot and smokin' jumbos, just started for the peak hour services...

It is only now I have worked out why the two Trans Adelaide tracks were closed with heaped ballast....duh...... (A slow learner I would
say) |

I believe the two R/H tracks of TA are mainly for Belair Hills trains to keep 'em separated, the other two service the Noarlunga
and Tonsley lines. Note the old wye signal cabin from the olden
days in background.
I am surprised it stands after so many years of non use. The pigeons call it home these
days. |
