PETERBOROUGH
STEAMTOWN HERITAGE TOUR
8th
July 2010
A
visit to where they opened the new Steamtown
Heritage Centre last November 2009.
We had a guided tour lasting about 90 minutes
starting with the bogie exchange workshop,
then moving on to the Boiler Room, workshops and
the Roundhouse with all the vintage Carriages and
Steam Engine inside. That evening we did the night
show which is an hour long documentary of Peterborough Rail History sitting
inside a vintage rail carriage which sits on the
three gauge turntable with an outside screen to
view this on. Overall it was very interesting
documentary.
